ECOTECH
A Cleaner, Safer, Smarter Future
Brisa has developed a new, proprietary, breakthrough infrastructure technology, the EcoTech Complex, which is poised to completely change the world dynamics of power, waste, and fuel. EcoTech provides abundant clean water, vast zero-carbon power generation, and comprehensive management of wastes in the water, air and land. It turns existing fossil fuel power plants into zero-carbon emitters, and produces abundant carbon-neutral fuels at a low cost. EcoTech treats municipal wastewater in carbon-neutral fashion at about one-quarter the cost of traditional plants. It also turns municipal solid waste into renewable energy at about 80% greater efficiency than any existing waste-to-energy technology. EcoTech is scalable and sustainable.
In summary, the EcoTech uses natural processes to solve many major problems that threaten human society. We are in the process of implementation at multiple sites in the Middle East, Asia, and Caribbean regions.
The EcoTech Complex
Power, Water, & Waste All in One
The EcoTech Complex brings together many different types of systems, including:
- Power Plant
- Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Recycling Plant
- Combustion-Based Waste-To-Energy & Biomass Plant
- Biofuel Plant
- Refinery
- Packaging Plant
- Desalination Plant
These patented systems are designed to share inputs, outputs, and infrastructure in ways that greatly increase efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of each of these plants.
Inputs
The EcoTech Complex requires only waste and CO2 to operate – it doesn’t run on fuel.
- Power Plant Emissions
- Wastewater
- Saltwater
- Municipal Solid Waste
- Some Hazardous Waste
Outputs
- Drinking Water
- Bottled Water
- Gray Water
- Electricity
- Fuels (Diverse Types)
- Algae Products
- Recycled Products
- Sludge Substrate
- Ash-Cement
- Oxygen
Using algae to Reduce Emissions
If all emissions are captured and turned into more permanent products, such as bioplastics, the system becomes carbon negative. In sum, the EcoTech can mitigate power plant and WTE (waste-to-energy) emissions, turn wastewater treatment into a carbon-neutral process, and from those inputs, create a wide range of carbon-neutral biofuels and carbon-negative products. These processes can be accomplished with astounding efficiency, creating major economic benefits as well.
Why Our Algae Matters
Our algae can grow virtually anywhere – even in the most inhospitable environments.
Nearly 70% of the atmosphere’s oxygen and half of the planet’s oxygen comes from algae.
The growth rate of our algae is explosive; it doubles its biomass about every 2 hours.

Turning waste into profit
Using our proprietary algae technology, Ecotech turns waste into items with high commercial value.
Animal Feed
Algae animal feed is high in antioxidants, protein, and vitamins. It’s also nutritious, all-natural, and inexpensive, making it perfect for use as animal and fish feed.
Pharmaceuticals
There are several pharmaceutical products derived from algae, such as antimicrobials, antivirals & antifungals, neuroprotective products, and therapeutic proteins.
Zero-Carbon Biofuel
Algae biofuel is directly comparable to fossil crude oil. It can be hydrogenated or thermally upgraded to obtain diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, or other fuels.
Industrial Materials
Scientists have developed a new method that uses algae to develop industrial-strength material that’s as hard as steel but only a fraction of the weight.
Food & Beverage
Algae is an important element of a variety of foods and beverages such as ice cream, coffee creamer, meat and fish products, almond milk, and more.
Personal Care Products
Algal compounds are used in many kinds of personal care products, including anti-aging creams, sun protection lotions, and skin-whitening agents.
Biopolymers & Bioplastics
The market for bioplastics is over US $1B and is expected to exceed US $10B
Soil Conditioner
Algal products have higher nitrogen content than dried activated sludge.

Example City
At an example city with a 2.5 million population in the Caribbean region, EcoTech will annually:
- Mitigate 900,000 tons per year of power plant CO2
- Save $30 million US in wastewater treatment costs
- Produce $14 million of biofuel
- Produce $270 million of fresh water
- Generate at least 10X the EcoTech’s cost in economic benefits
- Eliminate many critical environmental threats to human health in the air, water and land.
